This is it! Our 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS tribute is a legendary classic that has a unique and well-documented history – the perfect addition to your garage. From the moment you start the car, you'll appreciate every bit of the all-American output produced by the GM Performance Parts 502-ci. big-block Chevrolet V8 engine under the hood. A 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission shifts this output to the rear wheels, ensuring every moment behind the wheel is enjoyable. Several changes have been made to the powertrain since this classic left the factory, however - the engine was refreshed by Pure Vision with a new Holley Street Avenger carburetor, a new Holley Blue electric pump, a swap to a stock-replacement-type Milodon oil pan for extra ground clearance, and a trick Vintage Air front runner accessory-drive setup. Finished in single-stage BASF Glasurit C5 Corvette yellow paint, our Chevelle SS tribute sits on 18" Bonspeed Delta V wheels with custom backspacing and employs Eibach springs, Edelbrock control arms, and Edelbrock Performer IAS shocks to improve the car's handling, ride quality, and visual appeal.
The car was at one point stripped down to its bones, enabling a complete panel adjustment for optimal fitment, and its distinctive cosmetic features – like a black-finished steel cowl hood, brightly polished front and rear bumpers, and a black vinyl top – separate it from an ordinary classic muscle car. Once you settle into the black vinyl bench seat, you can enjoy the full capabilities of the cabin's features and amenities, like a LeCarra steering wheel, Vintage Air cooling knobs, a complete Eclipse stereo, and a custom gauge panel with Stewart Warner Gauges and a RedLine Gauge Works-reworked speedometer and tachometer.
