This 1970 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia is an iconic classic coupe that needs no introduction. Under the bonnet is an air-cooled 1.6-liter flat-four engine that sends its output to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transaxle transmission. The engine is not stock, however, having received a single downdraft carburetor, a vacuum advance distributor, an electric fuel pump with a dashboard-mounted cutoff switch, and a degree pulley. This brightly colored coupe comes equipped with 15" steel wheels with polished chrome "VW" hubcaps, and the sleek body finished in a bright orange - a refinish that was performed in 2022. In the interior, this Karmann Ghia offers black basketweave-upholstered seats, an upholstered dashboard, upholstered interior trimmings, a dual-spoke steering wheel, a 90-mph VDO speedometer, a VDO analog clock gauge, and a dash-mounted Karmann Ghia emblem, truly making this classic car the complete package.
