The Subaru Impreza WRX STI is a show-stopping platform before any modifications are installed, but a Stage 2 makeover by Easy Street Motorsports has turned this machine into a special edition performance icon. Powered by a new (3,400 miles on it) IAG short block engine with Stage 2 IAG rods and pistons, this turbocharged hatchback is one of only fifty-five ESX Subarus ever made and one of only three built in 2008. Further modified with ARP head studs, an Injen cold-air intake, and a one-of-a-kind custom cat-back exhaust system, this motorsport-inspired car has been tuned to produce 350 horsepower. The output is delivered to all four wheels through a six-speed manual transmission, giving drivers the opportunity to experience the sensation of driving a true rally legend. Sold new at Subaru Santa Monica as part of the ESX Ali Afshar Signature Series, this WRX STI features an extensive list of ESX upgrades that include a hand-painted hood stripe, custom 18" ESX wheels, wire mesh grilles for the bumper, grille, and hood scoop, and numbering on the front bumper. The interior has received a similar treatment as well, coming equipped with racing-inspired and color-matched seats and interior panels, an ESX boost gauge with a carbon fiber pod, and an ESX aluminum shift knob. Simply put, this modified hot hatchback is a street-legal, CARB-exempt performance machine.
